The MAGIC TREE HOUSE ADVENTURES
THE GLOBAL MULTIMEDIA FAIR GUIDELINES

The Magic Tree House Adventures Fair is a multimedia contest for students around the world and is designed promote literacy, cross-curricular connections to text, global collaboration and understanding, and creativity in digital media. The contest is divided into six categories: Glogster, Slide Show, Animation, Photos, and Game Creation.

CONTEST GUIDELINES:

Teams:

Participating classes may submit up to three entries per class in each category. Each team may have up to four members. Each team must work with a teacher or parent.

Prizes and Judging: Prizes will be awarded to each member of the winning teams in each category. First, Second, and Third place winners in each category will be honored with their projects showcased on the Magic Tree House Adventures wikispace and will be given certificates. Each class will be responsible for creating a system for selecting the top three winners for each category that will represent their class. The final projects submitted by the classes will be judged by a team of judges.

Contest Timeline

Projects must be turned in to the classroom teacher and submitted to the wikispace no later than March 4, 2012 in order to give the judges time to review projects. Entries received after this deadline will not be considered. First, second, and third place winners will be notified in April of 2012.

Rubric

Each Category in the Magic Tree House Adventures Fair Contest will be judged based on the specific rubric (found on the wikipage) for each project type.
